How Carlow Tyres Centre handles personal information when you use this website or contact us.

Last updated: 15 October 2026

This policy explains how Carlow Tyres Centre (“we”, “us” or “our”) uses personal information in connection with this website and enquiries about our tyre, vehicle and wheel services. It describes the website’s current features; it is not a substitute for information about any separate services you may arrange with us.

Who is responsible for your information?

The website operator is Carlow Tyres Centre. You can contact us about this policy or your personal information at:

Unit 8, South Court, Wexford Road Business Park,
Carlow, Co. Carlow, R93 DW65
Email: info@carlowtyrescentre.ie
Phone: 059 910 8152

Information we may receive

  • Enquiry details: name, phone number, email address, service requested, optional vehicle registration and the message you submit through the contact form.
  • Information you choose to share: details you give us when you contact us by phone, email or WhatsApp, or when you visit the workshop.
  • Basic technical information: our hosting provider may process information such as your IP address, browser, requested page and request time in routine server logs needed to operate and protect the website.

The tyre-size checker on the Tyres page works in your browser to show the on-page price guide; the entered size is not sent to us by that checker. If you then contact us, the information you include in that enquiry will be handled as described here.

How we use information and our legal bases

  • To respond to your enquiry, discuss requested work, prepare a quote or take steps you ask us to take before a possible booking. The applicable basis is taking steps at your request and, where appropriate, our legitimate interests in communicating with customers.
  • To maintain, secure and troubleshoot the website and prevent misuse, based on our legitimate interests in operating it safely.
  • To meet legal obligations where they apply.

Please do not include sensitive personal information in the contact form. We do not use the form to make automated decisions about you.

Contact form and email

When you submit the contact form, the information you provide is sent by email to info@carlowtyrescentre.ie so our team can respond. The website does not provide an online customer account or store contact-form enquiries in a website database. The website hosting and email providers may process the information as needed to deliver and protect the service.

The contact form uses a temporary server session to protect submissions against cross-site request forgery. The session identifier is handled using a browser session cookie; see our Cookie Policy.

Who may receive information?

We share information only where necessary to provide the website or handle your request. This may include our website hosting provider, email provider and providers of external services used by the site. The contact page embeds Google Maps; the site also loads fonts and icons from Google Fonts and cdnjs, and some images from Unsplash. Loading these resources can cause your browser to connect directly to those providers, who may receive technical information such as your IP address and browser details under their own privacy terms. If you use the WhatsApp or external map links, those services receive information according to their own policies.

We do not control third-party services. Review their privacy notices for details about their processing and any international transfers.

How long we keep information

We keep enquiry information only for as long as reasonably necessary to respond, manage any resulting service or booking, and meet applicable legal requirements. Enquiries sent by email may remain in our or our email provider’s mail systems and backups. The website does not set a fixed retention period for those email records; please contact us if you need more information about a particular enquiry.

Your rights

Subject to applicable data protection law, you may ask us for access to your personal information, correction or deletion, or restriction of or objection to certain processing. You may also have a right to data portability or to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. To exercise a right, contact us using the details above. We may need to verify your identity before responding.

You can also make a complaint to the Data Protection Commission of Ireland or another supervisory authority where you live or work.

Changes and contact

We may update this policy if the website or our data handling changes. The latest version and its update date will be published on this page. For privacy questions, email info@carlowtyrescentre.ie.
